Storing a classic car properly preserves its value and prevents avoidable damage: choose a dry, ventilated space with stable temperature to reduce condensation and rust; fit the car with a breathable, dust-resistant cover; top off fluids, add a fuel stabilizer, and disconnect the battery or use a maintainer; raise the vehicle or rotate tires periodically to prevent flat spots, and support the suspension if long-term storage is planned; keep rodents out with traps and scented deterrents, and place moisture absorbers inside the cabin and engine bay; finally, document the car’s condition with photos and service notes so it’s ready for a smooth return to the road.
